      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1- Preheat oven to 200°C and line a large baking tray.
    2- Weigh into mixing bowl the self raising flour and sugar.
    3- Add butter (cubed) into the mixing bowl and insert measure cup into the lid.
    4- Mix on speed 8 for 5 seconds.
    5- Add cream into mixing bowl and mix on speed 5 for 30 seconds.
    6- Knead on dough settingDough mode for 20 seconds.
    7- Transfer onto a lightly floured surface or silicone mat and press out to a 2-3cm thickness. Using a scone cutter press into dough and cut out scones.
    8- Place each scones onto lined baking tray making sure each one touches and bake for approximately 15mins or until slightly golden.
    9- Allow to cool for 5-10mins and then enjoy with your favourite jam and cream!
