Ingredients

Dough

  • 80 g Butter
  • 125 g Milk
  • 3 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 75 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 500 g flour, all purpose

Egg Wash

  • 1 egg yolk
  • coarse sugar

Recipe's preparation

    Dough
  1. Combine the butter, milk and yeast for 2 Min./37°C/Speed 2

     

    Add remaining ingredients at 3 Min./Closed lid/Dough mode

     

    Place dough into a bowl, cover with towel and let rest at in a warm place for 45 Min.

     

    Separate dough into three equal parts.  Roll each part into a long log amd braid them together. Pinch ends together and fold slightly under.

     

     

  2. Egg Wash
  3. Beat egg yolk and brush onto braided dough.

     

    Sprinkle coarse sugar over egg wash.

     

     

  4. Baking
  5. Bake at 150°C (~300°F) for 30 minutes.

Tip

To stretch the egg wash, you can add a small amount of milk to the yolk.
