Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Add softened butter to bowl with brown sugar, caster sugar and vanilla.

  2. Cream on SP 4 for 40 seconds.  Scrape down sides of bowl and then continue on SP 4 for another 40 seconds.

  3. While blades are spinning SP 4, slowly add egg through MC hole.

  4. Add flour and salt to bowl and mix SP 4, 40 seconds.  Scrape down sides of bowl and mix until dough comes together and is mixed through.

  5. Add choclate chips and mix SP 3 Counter-clockwise operation for 1 min. You may need to push the dough onto the blades through the MC hole with your spatula.

  6. Roll heaped teaspoons of dough and place  on baking paper lined tray.

Cook for 10 mins or until lightly browned for chewy cookies, or a little longer for crunchy cookies.

Tip

I love this recipe that was given to me by a friend and I've converted it, not sure where she got it from originally.  I thought I lost the paper copy the other day so it is time to add it to the RC - can't lose it now!

I usually add a mixture of white, milk and dark choc chips (and usually a few more than the 125gms the recipe says - can there ever be too many choc chips?)

To soften butter - add cubed butter, 40 sec / 50 deg / SP 4

These are our go to cookies. Always great and my 13 yr old daughter takes responsibility to ensure they are 'in stock' (she cooks them).
