      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Mix butter and golden syrup 2 mins/60/speed 2.

    Scrape down and repeat if needed (butter should be melted)

  2. Mix bicarb and boiling water together.  Add to TM bowl, mix 5 sec/speed 3

  3. Add remaining ingredients and mix 10 sec/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 4

    Scrape and repeat until combined

  4. Bake in slow oven for 15 - 20 mins.

Tip

For chewy biscuits bake until slightly brown, for crispy bake until golden brown
