Recipe's preparation

    Vintage Chocolate Chip Cookies
  1. The method

Preheat your oven to 190 degrees/170 degrees (fan).  Line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper

  2. Place butter and sugars, egg and vanilla extract into your bowl and mix with the measuring cup on for 2 minutes / speed 3

  3. Add in the flour, bicarb of soda and salt and mix 40 seconds on speed 1.  Add in the chocolate chips and mix with measuring cup on Counter-clockwise operation for 20 seconds / speed 1.5

  4. Using a teaspoon, place small mounds of the mixture well apart on the baking trays.  Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown

  5. Leave on the tray for a couple of minutes to firm up, then transfer to a cooking rack. I hope you enjoy these cookies as much as my familiy and I do as they are crisp on the outside and slightly soft in the centre
