If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Kazza's White Loaf
  1. Add all ingredients in order as listed to bowl -  combined for 2 minutes gradually turning up the speed to 7 - Dough is slightly sticky

    • Knead for 6 minutes - if too sticky add additional flour whilst kneading.

    • Leave dough to rest for 30 minutes in bowl.

    • Transfer dough onto silicone mat and roll into ball.

    • Shape loaf and place in greased floured Banneton or bread tin.  If using banneton press down the dough to ensure nice even ridges.

    • Proof until double in size- place on heated wheat bag and cover with shower cap – peg 4 pegs around dish before placing the shower cap (stops dough touching / sticking to cap)

    • Once doubled in size – if using banneton turn dough gently into baking tin / bread tin, sieve corn flour over the top and make slits as desired!

    • Place in heated oven and bake 30 - 40  minutes or thermometer reads 90°C

This is truly a tasty bread - Enjoy!!!
