Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip
When I didn't have enough almond flour, I topped up amounts with coconut flour- still a great result!

These are great. The first time I made them I used only almond meal and they didn't hold their shape very well but still tasted next time I used 50g coconut flour as others have recommended and they held their bagel shape much better and tasted great. Will be making these regularly. Thanks for a great recipe!

Great bread alternative
I haven't been craving bread, but this is definitely the best alternative to it that I've come across so far! I used 120g almonds and 30g coconut flour - was easy to work with (with damp hands) and made 7 decent sized bagels. Looking forward to having one for breakfast tomorrow (cream cheese & smoked salmon)! Thanks for the recipe

Hi.. I loved the taste of the bagels but every time I bake low carb bread things they rise in the oven then loose all rise and flattens out & becomes very dense when they cool - what am I doing wrong??

These were very easy to make - I added extra coconut flour as I thought mixture was a bit too sticky - my bagels were quite big so will probably make 8 instead of 6 next time. I find half a bun at a time is plenty and pretty much close to a bread texture. Thanks for sharing this recipe Cara.
