For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees (fanforced).

    2. Place self raising flour, sugar, salt and nuttlelex (teaspoon size drops, I used a butter knife) into bowl.

5 seconds/speed 5 or until it resembles breadcrumbs.

    3. Add Oat Milk 1 minute/Dough or until dough comes together.

    4. Using a flexible spatula fill 2, 12 hole muffin trays to about half way. I have also done larger ones successfully if you only have one tray. It will be sticky, do not worry.

    5. Bake for approx 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Tip

For chive scones, I added 1 tsp of dried chives in step 2.

For mini scones, use a mini muffin pan and reduce the time to 12 minutes.
