      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. add all ingredients to bowl

    2. knead 6:30 mins / Dough mode

    3. grease bread tin and shape to desired shape

    4. cover and put in warm spot to prove for an hour (or until doubles) (I like to put a heat pack under the bread tin)

    5. once the dough has doubled in size, put into cold oven and turn oven to 200 (fan forced) with some water in a separate tin

    6. cook for 30 mins (or until bread makes a hollow sound when tapped), then remove bread from bread tin and put bread back in oven (with oven turned off - while it cools for approx 5 mins) (stops bread going soft on bottom)

    7. enjoy!

Tip

Have been told that 'activating' the yeast and knocking the bread takes the energy from the yeast, so tried a favourite recipe with just chucking it all in at once and seeing how it turned out.  Pretty happy with the result, so thought I would share (also saves about an hour of proving time).
