  • This was excellent 👌! I might reduce the butter...

    Submitted by Notradaya on 11. January 2024 - 13:34.

This was excellent 👌! I might reduce the butter a bit they were a little greasy but didn't stick so that's good. I used GF self raising flour from Aldi (yes you can brand) and was concerned that the batter was quite a bit runnier than other waffle recipes I've tried, but the texture was phenomenal. I can't get that beautiful golden colour, mine often look anaemic, and these were just beautiful. Will tweak the butter next time, but this will be my go to recipe! Thank you!

    Submitted by feewebb on 27. September 2015 - 10:10.

This is the first waffle mix ive ever tried and have only had waffles out at a cafe and these were so light and fluffy. Very easy to make and disappeared when the kids got a whiff.

  • Made these again today. Used

    Submitted by hetz80 on 23. August 2014 - 15:59.

Made these again today. Used wholemeal flour instead of white as in the past and think they were even yummier! Definitely recommend doubling the mix if you have more than two kids.

Delicious! I had a batch of yoghurt that didn't set properly, so used this instead of buttermilk. I also freeze my leftovers and re-heat in the toaster, if there are any leftovers!!! Big Smile

  • You could certainly add more

    Submitted by faffa_70 on 26. January 2012 - 10:17.

You could certainly add more sugar to your taste Jolene - I am a mean Mummy and reduce the sugar in everything ... especially when I know they are going to be adding maple syrup over the top Big Smile

  • These were a hit. I'd be so

Submitted by Jolene Adams on 28. December 2011 - 08:52.

These were a hit. I'd be so bold as to suggest a bit more sugar - but that's personal taste. A fine conversion and we have enough for tomorrow - and we already had seconds, even the kids (x3). tmrc_emoticons.p Cooking 4
