- 75 grams Butter, Melted
- 145 grams white sugar
- 95 grams brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 Cup buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Paste
- 1 tablespoon Red food colouring
- 2 tablespoons Cacao
- 1 Cup plain flour, 130 gms approx
- 1 pinch salt

Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Put melted butter and sugars into bowl and 'cream' for 1 minute speed 4
Add eggs and mix for 10 seconds speed 3
Add buttermilk, vinegar and vanilla and mix for 10 seconds speed 3.
Add red colouring and mix 10 seconds speed 3.
Mix in cacao 10 seconds speed 3. May need to stop to scrape down bowl at 5 seconds.
Add flour and salt and mix until smooth, taking care to scrape down sides throughout.
Pour into prepared pan and bake at 160 degrees for 30 minutes.
You could melt white chocolate to drizzle over the top, or make a cream cheese icing. I like a dusting of icing sugar.
