  • 75 grams Butter, Melted
  • 145 grams white sugar
  • 95 grams brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 Cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Red food colouring
  • 2 tablespoons Cacao
  • 1 Cup plain flour, 130 gms approx

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Brownies
  1. Put melted butter and sugars into bowl and 'cream' for 1 minute speed 4

  2. Add eggs and mix for 10 seconds speed 3

  3. Add buttermilk, vinegar and vanilla and mix for 10 seconds speed 3.

    Add red colouring and mix 10 seconds speed 3.

  4. Mix in cacao 10 seconds speed 3. May need to stop to scrape down bowl at 5 seconds.

    Add flour and salt and mix until smooth, taking care to scrape down sides throughout.

  5. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 160 degrees for 30 minutes.

Tip

You could melt white chocolate to drizzle over the top, or make a cream cheese icing. I like a dusting of icing sugar.
