Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- Combine all ingredients in the thermomix for 5 seconds Speed 7 (it should resemble a sticky biscuit crumble). (See TIPS for variation)
Scrape with spatula and combine for another 3 seconds if not happy with size of nuts etc.
Roll into balls and set in the fridge (you may need to wet your hands for this step - I used the water I had reserved from soaking the dates.

Tip
If you prefer balls without visible nuts/mints, blitz the hard ingredients till fine, before adding the dates.
You could use whatever nuts you have on hand in this recipe.
Original recipe suggested balls could be rolled in various items to change taste and texture such as sesame seeds, caramelised buckinis, cacao, shredded coconut - I have not tried these variations.
