Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Very Yummy! Will make again and recommend, I used my TM31 so reduced the meat by 100g but it wasn’t necessary as it would have fit in fine.
I used half Round steak and half Oyster blade. The Blade took on the flavour, became tender and melted in your mouth!! Whereas the Round steak was a little firmer and held it’s on plain flavour. Perfect family meal with Mash and mixed Veg.

Delicious! Realised last moment that I didn't have any worstershire sauce so I substituted with tamari soy sauce, it was delicious. I also replaced the cream with goats yogurt. I will be making this one again! Thank you.

This beef Dianne is exactly the same as the one I use from 'best recipes '. It smelt delicious as it was cooking and tasted lovely. We did think it 'minced' the meat up a little bit more than it would have in a normal oven casserole. But it still was very tasty.

Easy to make, tasted great. Tried to steam rice at the same time but that didn't work; had to continue to steam once casserole was removed and placed water into the bowl. Will add a few veggies next time.

Thank you for your question.
Thank you for your question. to be honest I haven't tried anything else. Maybe dry sherry? I know you can buy Brandy essence from Coles and Woolworths? If you would like to try without the Brandy and let us know how it goes.
Thank you

A big hit! I added chopped
A big hit! I added chopped carrots after sautéing the meat and sliced mushrooms 30 min before cooking ended. I might add some chopped zucchini with the carrot next time. I added more cream and cooked for 10 min longer for a richer sauce and it was just divine. Thanks so much for such a fantastic recipe.

Back in the 80's I made a
Back in the 80's I made a mean Steak Diane. It was soo good that my guy cousins added it to their repertoire also. I imagine that there were several girls courted with MY Steak Diane recipe. Of course none of us can actually find, or remember, the recipe anymore. So when I got a message from my cousin's wife to say that Russell said I had "to try the 'Beef Diane Casserole' recipe from the Thermomix Recipe Community", nostalgia kicked in and I was on it.
And the verdict; the recipe is tasty, perfect for this crazy cold Autumn weather. I'd probably add a couple more cloves of garlic next time. It was lovely the day after too. It could easily be made ahead and perhaps then it even takes on more flavour. The recipe uses chuck steak, so economical also.#mixinginthemountains
OMG Amazing This is the best.

Deliciousl loved it. Next time I might add some carrot and broccoli
This was really, really good
This was really, really good - our first proper dinner made in our Thermie & it turned out better than I imagined! I just used cheap pre-diced steak from Coles & it came out really tender, full of flavour & fell apart in your mouth - it was fantastic!
I used red wine instead of brandy as we don't have any & didn't want to buy it until I'd tested the recipe but now I know how good this is, I'll definately get a small bottle for future. Another one for the collection!
Also, I'm finding it a theme with the TM recipes that the sauces are turning out quite thin compared to what I usually make, so will probably add a teaspoon or two of cornflour next time as I prefer a thicker sauce.

It had nice flavour but was quite dry. We ate it with rice but my husband ended up adding BBQ sauce to it for some moisture. I did cook it in a thermomix 31 so not sure if that had something to do with it.
