I enjoyed the curry, but it was way too hot for my kids (6 & 4) and I only added 2 tbspn curry powder left the chillis out! Next time I would use only 2 tspns of curry powder and use the babas curry powder, not standard curry powder.

Really great! Hubby is very fussy but he actually wanted more of this. It made enough for two dinners so I froze half. I used 2 tablespoons of Babas curry powder and only 1 fresh chilli and it wasn't hot. This will definitely be going on my rotation.

    Delicious!
Ran out of beef stock paste so added 2 teaspoons of vegemite! Also used 1 tablespoon of Babas Meat Curry powder and 2 of Clive of India, as that's what I had. We all thought it could be a tad hotter though, including 9 year old, and would add an extra chilli next time. 👍😊

    Submitted by Cathie81 on 3. June 2018 - 20:23.

I made this today, only change I made was smaller quantity of beef (709g) and only 1 onion. Hey also switched the cream with light coconut milk (it’s all I had on hand) it’s super tasty although I used babas meat curry powder and so it’s probably a bit spicy to give to the toddlers... oh and I also left out the fresh Chilli

Comments helpful too - 400+ can't be wrong!! There is a lot of "wriggle room" here.
We kept chilli seeds in and it was like a 'medium' from our local Indian – but I now prefer this! Meat is SO tender (I did 30 more mins); Bubba's curry. Now. If only I could master Naan ....

I'd like to make this tonight but I am out of stock paste! Is there something else I can use? I noticed that there's no water added so I can't use a liquid stock. If all else fails, I suppose I'll have to try it without the stock paste.

    Submitted by Hawkins2013 on 10. April 2018 - 20:43.

This is lovely thank you for this recipe!

I did make a few changes as per other comments... 2tbs Babas Meat Curry (but next time I will do the 3tbs as per the recipe), I left out the chilli as my 3 yr old doesn’t like spice, and I used 2tsp Keens mustard powder instead of yellow mustard seeds as I didn’t want to buy them. I cooked for 90minutes.

Next time I will use 1.5kg beef and 2x carrots put in at the 60minute mark.

Thank you so much this will be a regular in my household! Delicious!
