This was a winner with my very fussy thermo recipe family! They all loved it served with mashed potato, peas, brocolli and corn, with carrot added in with the beef to absorb the curry flavours. Now I'm looking for ideas on how to use the left over curry sauce!

Made this last night and it was a huge hit with the whole family. Kids and hubby loved it. I didn't have cream so used sour cream. There was heaps of sauce left over which would be good to use up.

Megrex: MC stands for measuring cup which sits in the lid of your thermy so you would measure one and a half of of this to the recipe. Hope I explained it ok.

Made this for the first time last night and LOVED it.
Just one thing tho, make sure you rince/clean all appliances used straight away and make sure it doesn't get on your kitchen bench as it leaves a stain.

    Submitted by goodearag on 14. July 2017 - 08:25.

Great dish. Everyone loved it. Substituted 'mustard seeds' for 'seeded mustard', 'cream' for 'sour cream', 'chilli's' for 'bishops peppers' and 'chuck steak' for 'blade steak' (only 500g meat total) - because I didn't have all recipe items. Amazing! I lined the bottom of the Thermoserver with chopped english spinach before serving, and halved the curry powder (the one I use is really hot). Definately will be making this again. tmrc_emoticons.-)

This is such a good curry... we love this at our house, I have made it heaps...I forgot to put the lemon in the first time I made it and I just leave it out now because it was so tasty without it.. it does make a lot of additional sauce so with the left over sauce this week I added some chicken and veges and extra water and made a chunky curry chicken and vege soup. Now I have even more reason to love this recipe..thank you.

This is absolutely delicious! Mostly followed the recipe but did reduce the curry powder to one tablespoon (only because that's all I had left haha!) and cooked for an additional 30 mins, and it was SO tender. I just used chuck steak from Coles, so a really tasty, budget friendly meal. Will add some veggies next time.

ITS SOOO GOOD that we've had it twice this week! As it had a lot of liquid the first time, I added an extra 300g of beef the next time. Will absolutely become a regular in the house.

As for the spices, I only used 2 tbsp of curry powder and half the chilli, and was still a lovely spicy curry to eat
