      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Method:
  1. Add all ingredients from group A except oil and onions dry roast at Varoma temp 5 minutes speed 1.

Add onions and olive oil and chop 4 sec speed 5.

Sautée onions for 5 min at Varoma temp, sp 1, lid off.

Squeeze majority of water out of bread and add all other ingredients from Group 2 with mince last and gently broken up with you fingers.

    Heat oven to 180 degrees.

Lid on, cook 25 min Counter-clockwise operation 100 degrees, speed 1.

Put mince mix in glass dish. Without washing the bowl add milk and eggs and mix 5 sec, sp 4.

Pour milk/egg mix over mince. Use a fork to seperate the mince so that some of the milk mix runs between the meat.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes till set.

Traditionally served with turmeric rice, poached peaches and extra Mrs Balls Chutney.

Left over Bobotie is awesome in a Toastie with some Chutney.

Bobotie - Isabelle se bobotie- I would give 10 stars if I could. Thanks once more for placing the recipe, KL.

    TIPS

Use lamb mince. This is much more tasty and creamy in texture.

Add 15 ml turmeric to spice mix (Group A). This is in according to the original recipe.

Increase meat for a bigger recipe to 1 kg .Then you have to prepare Group A in TM bowl, while Group B is made on the stove.

Group C can be made with 5 ml turmeric to give a yellow colour. I often also add a pinch of cream to the milk.
