  • 2 brown onions, Peeled & Halved
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves, Peeled
  • 2 Zucchinis, Chopped into chunks
  • 4 carrots, Chopped into chunks
  • 1 red capsicum, Deseeded & chopped into chunks
  • 1 sweet potato, Chopped into chunks
  • 1000 g Beef mince
  • 800 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 100 g tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable stock paste

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    Sauce
  1. Add onion & garlic
  2. Add to the dish of the varoma, the mince, spreading to the sides to allow a hole for the steam to come through in the middle
  3. Pour over the mince the diced tomatoes, tomato paste and vegetable stock paste
  4. Place the varoma base into position.
  5. Cook for 20mins/varoma/sp2
  6. Carefully remove the varoma lid and stir the mince mix. Break it up into the desired texture. Place the lid back in position.
  7. Cook for another 20mins/Varoma/sp2 (or until the mince is cooked through - add 10 more minutes if required)
  8. Once the mince is cooked, carefully transfer it into the TM bowl or another bowl if there is not enough room and stir it through with the sauce.
  9. Allow to cool then place in fridge until ready to use.

Tip

If the sauce is too runny, add 2 tbs cornflour to the mixture while it is still hot (over 90degrees) and mix for 30sec/reverse sp2 until thickened.
