Ingredients

1 jar(s)

  • 300 grams blueberries
  • 300 grams sugar
  • 1/2 lemon, Juiced

Recipe's preparation

  1. Put the blueberries and lemon juice in the bowl and chop speed 3 for 10 seconds

  2. Cook for 20 minutes 100 degrees speed 1

  3. Test the consistancy.  Dirp a small amount on a plate and see if it runs.

I like a really thick jam so I usually repeat step 2 until the jam stays put.

  4. o ensure your paste keeps as long as possible we need to sterelise the paste.

Clean a preserving jar (I use an old jam jar) with boiling water and dry thoroughly.  This can be done in advance so it is dry when you are ready,

fill with your paste and close tightly.

Submerge the jar in a pot of water and bring to the boil.

Boil for 10 minutes then remove from the pot.

Allow the jar to cool.  You should hear a pop as the jar cools.  If you don't - check the seal indicator on the top of the lid if the indicator is depressed - you have successfully sterilized your paste.

Recipe could be more clearly written. Agree, sugar is on ingredient list but not included with recipe instructions.

  • Made this jam, it didn't set

    Submitted by TheresaH on 23. November 2014 - 22:11.

Made this jam, it didn't set after first 20 Min, so did extra 25 Min.  Still not set but have bottled, I hope it thickens up as it cools. Very very sweet, almost taste like lemonade.  Will be interesting to see fast when. Cools.
