      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip

use any grated cheese you like. I use a mix of cheddar, mozzarella and parmesan that i have grated in my Thermomix. See the introduction to your basics section of your Basic Cookbook for instructions on how to grate cheese.

This recipe was inspired by a combination of the Bechamel Sauce recipes in the basic cookbook and the Everyday Cookbook. I've adjusted the amounts slightly to make a thick sauce.

Great big batch white sauce. I added cooking time as comments suggested it may be a little thin. It cooled really thick and needed a good spread, but it was so yummy in lasagne!!!

In the middle of moving and couldn’t find my Everyday Cookbook so I made this version instead. Thanks for the great recipe.

Tasted okay but definately was not thick by the end of cooking - way too runny for my liking. Perhaps let it cool before using?
