'cheezy' black bean dip

Ingredients

To make the dip

  • 1 can Black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 tablespoon salt

Optional

  • 1 heaped tablespoons coriander, parsley or spring onions

Recipe's preparation

    Simply blend
  1. Pop all your ingredients into the thermomix bowl on speed 7 for 3 seconds. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides and blend a little more for a finer dip. 

    You can garnish with a touch of coriander, parsley or spring onions.

Tip

Nutritional yeast provides this dip with a cheesy flavour, quite different to the yeast you use in bread. It is a great source of  amino acids, minerals and other vitamins and usually fortified with vitamin B12. Great for vegans and vegetarians. Readily available at many  health food stores.
