Hot and Smooth Chilli Sauce

  • 1 small onion, cut in half
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 175 grams tomato paste
  • 240 grams water
  • 60 grams apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Shredded coconut
  • 1 tbsp dried chilli flakes
  • half tsp salt
  • quarter tsp pepper
  • quarter tsp all spice
  • 1 tbsp honey, (optional to taste)

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. - Add onion and garlic to the bowl and chop 5 seconds, speed 5.

    - Add oil and sautee 4 minutes, 100, speed 1.

    - Add all remaining ingredients and cook 30 minutes, 100, speed 1.

    - Blitz for 1 minute, speed 10 being careful to turn up slowly.

    - Allow to cool and transfer into airtight bottle or jar and refrigerate.
