Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
1. Halve onion and place in bowl, along with garlic. Chop for 3-5 seconds on speed 5.
2. Scrape down sides of bowl, add oil and saute for 3 minutes, 100 degrees, speed 1.
3. Add tomatoes, herbs, stock paste, water and lentils. Cook for 1 minute on Veroma, speed 1.
4. Cook for 15 mins, 100 degrees on speed one, MC off, steaming basket on lid to catch any splash.
5. If you prefer your sauce thicker, cook for a further 5 mins on the same settings as the previous step.
