  • quince, approx 250g, peeled, cored and quartered
  • rhubarb, approx 120g cut into 5cm lengths
  • green apple, approx 165g, peeled cored and quartered
  • lemon flesh, approx 35g
  • sugar, approx 500g
  • water, 100ml (1 MC)

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place fruit and lemon in Closed lid - chop 20 seconds / speed 6 

  2. Scrape down sides of bowl

  3. Add sugar and water - mix 10 seconds / speed 4

  4. Scrape down sides of bowl 

  5. Cook for 30 minutes / 100 degrees / speed 2 / MC in

  6. Cook for a further 5 minutes / 100 degress / speed 2 / MC out 

    Test if jam set on cold saucer 

    Cook for further 2-5 minute increments until set 

  7. Pour into warm jars and seal immediately

Tip

Place clean jars in warmed oven once cooking time started. 

Place a saucer in the freezer to test a teaspoon of jam is set once cooking time complete. 

Seal jars immediately. 

Jar size used holds approx 230g each
