Carrot & Watercress Soup

  • 1 leek roughly chopped, (white part only)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 500 g carrots roughly chopped
  • 1 Celery stalk roughly choped
  • 1.5 tablespoon veggie stock paste
  • 500 g filtered water
  • 1 Bunch of watercress roughly chopped
  • pepper, to taste

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place leek into TM bowl. Chop for 3 seconds, sp 7. Scrape down bowl.


    Place oil into TM bowl, sauté leek for 2 minutes, varoma, sp 1


    Place carrot & celery to bowl and blend 10 seconds, sp 6


    Add water and stock into TM bowl. cover with MC, cook for 15 minutes, 100c, sp 2


    Place watercress into TM bowl and cover with MC, puree soup for 1 minute, sp 9


    Lovely warm or cold.
