Corn and Cauliflower Potage

    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. - Peel and cut onion in half
    - Peel garlic clove
    - Place onion and garlic in Closed lid. Chop, speed 4.5 for 4 seconds
    - Scrape down the sides of Closed lid.
    - Add butter to bowl and saute for 4 mins (115°C)
    - Add 1 1/2 cans of corn kernels (reserve half a can for serving), cauliflower and chicken stock to Closed lid. Set timer for 20 mins, 100°C, speed 2.5
    - Once cooked, puree soup for 90 seconds, starting at speed 5, slowly increasing to speed 9.
    - Once soup is smooth, add milk and sugar, then Closed lid for an addtional 10 mins, 90°C, speed 2.5.
    - Place into individual serving bowls, and divide remaining corn kernals between each.
