Kim's Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup

Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup

  • 3 shallots, roghly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 125 g can corn kernels, drained
  • 420 g Creamed Corn
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable stock paste
  • 1000 g water
  • 600 g chicken tenderloins, sliced in halves
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp cornflour, disolved in a little water
  • 1 tbsp Sweet chilli sauce

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Chop 3 shallots and 2 garlic cloves, 5 seconds/speed5
    scrape down sides & repeat
  2. Add 1 tlbsp oil & saute 3mins/100 degrees/speed soft
  3. Add 100g corn kernels, 1 x420g tin creamed corn, 1 tbsp stock paste, 100g water and 600g chicken tenderlions cook 15mins/100 degrees/reverse speed 1
  4. mix 10secs/speed 4 (to shred the chicken)
  5. Disolve 3 tbsp cornflour in a little cold water, add 1 tbsp and 2 tsp soy sauce. Set the timer to 2 mins and mix on speed 1 whilst adding the cornflour mixture through the hole in the lid.
