  • 1 brown onion, halved
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 2 celery sticks roughly chopped
  • 3 potatoes, cubed
  • 4 corn cobs, kernels removed
  • 2 slices bacon or smoked ham, chopped
  • 800 grams chicken stock
  • 1 heaped tablespoon Veg Stock Concentrate
  • 100 grams cream
  • 20 grams butter or oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Recipe's preparation

    Warming Corn Chowder
  1. Chop onion 2 seconds Speed 6. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.

  2. Add carrot, celery and bacon. Chop 3 seconds Speed 5

  3. Add 20 g butter or oil and saute 3 minutes Varoma temperature speed 1

  4. Add corn kernels and cubed potato. Pour in chicken stock and add 1 Tbsp veg stock concentrate. Cook 25 minutes 100 degrees Reverse Counter-clockwise operation speed 1.

  5. Add 1 MC cream and mix 10 - 15 seconds Speed 5 to thicken. Add pepper and salt to taste.

    Delicious and easy!
    I substituted shallots for onions and went with the ham as thats all I had. Yum!
