  • 55 grams desicated coconut
  • 100 grams rolled oats

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Place 120gm butter into mixing bowl and melt 1 min/60 C/speed 3.
  3. Add 75gm sugar and mix 1 min/speed 3.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix 30 sec/speed 4.
  5. Tip onto lined tray, spreading the slice to the edges by laying another sheet of baking paper on top and pressing out to the sides.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes. It will harden upon cooling in tin.
  7. Cut into squares when cooled.

    Very easy recipe. Not too crunchy. Added chocolate icing and sprinkled with coconut. Couldn't really taste the Milo.

    I made this again this week. I think it would go crumbly if you cook it too long. 15 mins is perfect in my oven

    Just made this for the first time I made some alterations such as using wholemeal plain and self raising, halved the sugar and increased the milo by 40 grams. I made cupcakes as thats what my daughter asked for and she has given them her seal of appproval it makes 18 cupcakes

    Wow so easy.  Thanks for posting.  It was a lifesaver at 5pm today after realising I had no snacks for lunchboxes.  Less than 5 minutes and it was ready for cooking.

    Thanks Kirrilly.  I have made this one at least a half a dozen times now in the past few week.  Never lasts long.  Have used milo, ovaltine and drinking cocoa all successfully.  Very good at this time of the year when eggs are less plentiful tmrc_emoticons.) at my place.
