Pork and Apple Stew

  • 500 g pork fillet 2-3 cm cubed
  • 3 green apples, peeled, cored and quartered
  • 250 g bacon, roughly diced
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 1 Red Onion, halved
  • 2 carrots, cut into thick slices
  • 3 potatoes, diced into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable stock
  • 300 g water
  • 2 tablespoon plain flour
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme, plush extra for garnish

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Add the bacon, apple, onion, thyme and garlic to the TM bowl and chop 5 seconds, speed 5. Scrape down the bowl and cook for 6 minutes, speed 2, 100°C, or until the apple is soft.


    2. Add the pork, carrot, potatoes, stock, flour and water to the TM bowl and cook 40 mins, Counter-clockwise operation speed 1, 100°C.


    Serve with creamy mashed potatoes and crusty bread and sprinkle with a little thyme.

    Certainly filled the TM5 bowl.  Taste was lovely and quite rich, considering there was no alcohol to deepen it.  Congratulations on a family friendly recipe.  Very nice indeed.
