Recipe's preparation

    Shredded Beef
  1. Place meat in a snaplock bag or bowl and add seasoning. Mix together and set aside.
  2. Place garlic, onions and chili into TM bowl and chop for 3 seconds on speed 7. Scrape down, add EVOO and sauté for 3 minutes at Varoma Temperature on speed 2.
  3. Add stock paste and water to TMB. Place coated beef into basket and insert into TM bowl.
  4. Cook for 20-25 minutes at 100ºC on speed 2.
  5. Remove basket and set aside. Drain stock through strainer (reserving some liquid) and return solids to TM bowl.
  6. Place cooked beef into TMX bowl.
  7. Add 80-100g of the reserved stock and tomato paste to the TMX bowl.
  8. Shred beef for 8 seconds/reverse direction/speed 6.
  9. Serve immediately with taco shells and salad or burrito wraps. This also tastes great stirred through mexican rice.

This was fabulous. I used two tablespoons of skinnymixers Mexican seasoning and would probably go to 3 next time. Both my children (5 and 7) loved it, which is unheard of!

I used a regualar taco seasoning satchet and it didn't retain enough flavour after cooking in the water. I also had more meat though - probably 750g. I guess I would add more or extra at the end next time. Otherwise this worked well. I used cubed round steak which was quite lean.

Yum! I doubled the meat, but used only one packet "Burrito seasoning" by McCormick. After sautéing the onion/garlic: Instead of cooking the beef cubes in the basket, I put them directly into the bowl with the water and seasoning, cooked 30 minutes/100C/Reverse Blade 2. It cooked beautifully! Keeper/Do-over Recipe. Thank you! I plan on putting this meat into quessadillas with cheese.
