Bourbon BBQ Sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 red onion
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 200 g tomato sauce
  • 100 g bourbon
  • 75 g Brown malt vinegar
  • 100 g treacle
  • 10 g Worcestershire sauce
  • 10 g soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried chilli flakes

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Bourbon BBQ Sauce
  1. Peel onion and garlic
  2. Cut onion in half and add to mixer with garlic 3 seconds speed 7
  3. scape down sides with spatula
  4. add oil and cook with measuring cup on 2 1/2 minutes speed 1Counter-clockwise operation 100 degrees
  5. add remaining ingredients cook 9 minutes 100 degrees Gentle stir setting
  6. Pour into sterilised bottle and store for up to 6 months
