Creamy Cashew Spread

  • 160 g raw cashew nuts soaked and drained
  • 60 g water
  • 15 g Nutritional Yeast Flakes
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp white wine or 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place all ingredients in mixing bowl and blend 7 sec/speed 6.

  2.  

    2. Scrape down sides of bowl, sample and season to taste. Blend for a further 3 sec/speed 6.

     

    3. Serve and enjoy with crackers, on toast, with vegetable sticks, on top of pizza or stirred through your favourite pasta.

     

    4. Keep in the fridge for up to 7 days - if it lasts that long.
