      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip

You could use dry spices already ground. BUT , you own a thermomix  - grind fresh and taste the difference tmrc_emoticons.-)

For gifts use steralised jars. Cool before refrigerating. Thickens as it cools.

I also put a small piece of baking paper between the lid and jar. Makes for easier opening.

Would love to hear how you go making this!

This is quite delicious! I had problems getting my cinnamon quill to grind down fine enough so wound up using ground cinnamon after grinding the star anise and cloves on their own. For those wishing to use grams rather than cup measures, here are mine: 120g dried cranberries, 130g mixed peel (I couldn't buy just orange)', 100g frozen raspberries, 220g Shiraz, 170g palm sugar. I also sterilised my jars in the varoma whilst the mix was cooking. Easy gift for my boss this year.
