      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add onion & garlic Closed lid. Chop 3 secs Sp 9 MC ON. Scrape down the bowl.
    Add oil & butter Closed lid. Cook 2 mins 120deg Sp 1 MC OFF.
    Add mushrooms & soy sauce Closed lid. Cook 5 mins 90deg Counter-clockwise operation Sp Gentle stir setting
    Add cream & instant gravy powder Closed lid. Cook 3-5 mins 100 deg Counter-clockwise operationSp 1.
    Pour into gravy jug and let stand for a few mins to cool slightly before serving.

Tip

I use Maggi Gravy Mix. Final cooking time varies due to type of gravy powder you use. Cook to your preferred thickness, however the sauce does thicken slightly as it cools.
