Great recipes, made 5 regular sized jars. Looks like this is based on the Sally Wise recipe. Not sure if the vinegar should have been halved though, if the other recipe was used as a guide.

Thanks for this recipe, handy for using up some Zucchini from the garden. I added a lot more corn flour, probably around 6 tablespoons and drained some of the juice from the vegetables. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Really happy with this
Really happy with this recepie, I did make a few changes, using mustard seeds instead of powder, celery instead of capsicum and adding 1/2 teaspoon of carraway seeds. Great flavour and consistency, will definetly do this again.

I used this as a base recipe, didn't do the salting and added corn kernels and a few other things like turmeric, mustard and allspice. Thanks for this
I skipped the step of salting
I skipped the step of salting the vegetables and it was still great. Thanks for the recipe.
Thanks for your criticisms
Thanks for your criticisms Bananarama. As you can see there are several comments from people who have been happy with the results. It's not rocket science... If you don't like the consistency then make some minor adjustments yourself. Maybe your veggies were chopped to a different size. That can make a difference. If you want it thicker, add a little more cornflour. The recipe instructions aren't WRONG, they are what I did, and the photos are of my results.
I followed this recipe
I followed this recipe exactly to the instructions and ended up with absolute runny mush. The recipe instructions are wrong. I can't believe anyone would have made these pickles as per this recipe and been happy with the result. The recipe needs to be corrected and re-posted.
Having read all the comments,
Having read all the comments, I changed it a bit! Instead of putting it in a thermo server, I let it sit in a strainer, to reduce the runniness, a lot of liquid came out. Texture is good ish - I think next time I wil chop veg on setting 4 not 7, a little fine for me, 4 will give more chunks. Now hubby tasted it and he said it was a bit too vinegary ( I used apple cider vinegar) . . Is this because I let the juices go, which may have contained balancing salt flavour. I may cut back vinegar and keep juice! All things to consider next time I make it. And I will give it another go. Thanks for the recipe.
Great recipe, lovely flavour.
Great recipe, lovely flavour. Tastes amazing with our Christmas ham! Not as thick as "store bought" pickles but I prefer it this way.
I too found it chopped a bit
I too found it chopped a bit small, but still happy with consistency. I didn't have any mustard powder on hand and used a whole grain mustard which worked fine. Thanks for the recipe.

Also can you tell me which vinegar is the best to use. Could choice of vinegar be the reason for differences in end product?

Thanks for your comment Bree mine came out at just the right consistency. Not sure why the difference, but maybe just a difference in preference?
