This tasted amazing! I used 25g of extra flour so it wasn’t too sticky. I had it all done in under 2 hours while working from home. I wanted to eat the whole thing. I’ve just done one with garlic butter and cheese which was pretty good too. Thanks for posting the recipe!

Looks amazing. I didn’t have parsley so used fresh basil from the garden and sautéed with onion and garlic for 2 mins first. I topped with sour cream & chives dip and loaded up on tasty and mozzarella cheese. The dough was a bit sticky but still workable, I’ll add more flour next time

    Submitted by pmarshall08 on 11. February 2016 - 11:06.

We added 300 grams ham, 1 hand of cheese, 3 extra garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of Italian Herbs all into the mixing bowl and then just before cooking we made on log with sweet chilli drizzled over it and the other no sauce then topped both with cheese.  Accidently bought Bakers Brand Flour so we had to add approx 3/4 cup of extra flour.  1st time cooking bread here.  Turned out super delicious and took to a social outing.  Gone in minutes and friends looking for more.  tmrc_emoticons.)

This is delicious- my kids loved it as did I. I used homemade tomato paste instead of the chilli sauce. Next time I might make a cheese and vegemite one.

  • Correct. Placing the dough

    Submitted by Thermofi on 28. May 2015 - 07:53.

Correct. Placing the dough into a cold oven will give it a quick rise. It saves you from knocking the bread dough down, and letting it rise again thus saving 30 mins.

I am a little confused with step 8. Do you place in a cold oven? You don't preheat?

YUM tmrc_emoticons.)  I have made this a few times now and the dough definately needs more flour like others have mentioned.  I like to vary the filling.  My kids do not like the sweet chilli sauce.  I use TM tomato paste with whatever else you would put on a pizza.  A yummy weekend lunch where the kids can grab a piece and keep playing.  Love the recipe.  Thanks

I had to comment on this recipe, it is divine! I didn't add onion and added 20g extra flour and it turned out perfect, not too sticky to work with. The whole family loved it, it makes 12 very filling portions so you could make them smaller. I will make this again for sure

    Submitted by superquilter55 on 28. June 2014 - 15:16.

This pull apart was beautiful.  Very sticky as previous comments.  Added 30g more flour but still sticky.  Next time will put flour on Thermomat before rising.  Was a little wary of how much sweet chilli to add but the more you add the gooey the rolls.  Yum!

At 20 mins cooking was very pale looking so changed temp to 200 deg for last ten mins (I have fan forced oven).

I think it was a little to sticky for my liking because the onion added a lot of liquid even through added lots more flour it was still sticky. Somehow managered to get it all rolled and cut and its now in the oven fingers crossed it turns out it smells delish.

    Submitted by Thermofi on 14. November 2012 - 11:50.

Thank you for your feedback.  The garlic butter sounds delicious.  The sky is the limit really.  Initially when my friend and I were playing around with it I made ham, mayo and cheese.  As her daughter is allergic to egg the mayo was quickly replaced with sweet chilli sauce and we found it to be an instant hit!
