Chocolate chili

  • 2 onions, halved
  • 4 garlic, peeled
  • 30 g coconut oil
  • 700 g Minced beef, mince in TM (pre prepare)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1-2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 140 g tomato paste
  • 400 g Tinned tomatoes, or diced fresh tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp TM stock, vege or beef
  • 100 g water

Recipe's preparation

    Chocolate chili con carne (paleo)
  1. chop onions and garlic on sp5/5sec. add coconut oil and saute 100degrees/sp2/5min. add TM beef mince oregano,chili powder,cumin,cocoa, allspice and cook varoma/sp2/Counter-clockwise operation/10min with MC removed and TM basket on lid.

    Scrape down sides then add salt, tomato paste,tomatoes,TM stock and water. cook 100degrees/Counter-clockwise operation/sp1/30min with MC removed and TM basket on lid. Cook for the full 30min to enhance flavour

    I have made this twice now and used just a single scraped out long red chilli, raw cacao and ghee instead of cocnut oil - my husband doesnt like hot stuff but said the heat was just right - the next day it had 'warmed up' again but the spicy depth was even better.

    Very tasty.  I only used 1/8 tsp chilli powder and it was just enough to give it a mild bite.
