- 200 grams brown onions, cut in quarters
- 20 grams olive oil
- 200 grams dried green lentils, rinsed and drained
- 15 grams Butter
- 100 grams pearl barley, rinsed and drained
- 20 grams freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 level tbsp Vegetable stock paste
- 1 litres water

TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). - CHOP ONIONS
Place onions in bowl.
Place lid and cup.
5 sec/speed 5
- Browning Onions.
Add Olive oil
Select "Browning onions" from cookidoo (Tm6)
If you do not have a TM6 - cook 5-8 mins/120 degrees/ speed 1
Once cooked add 1 cup water.
Place drained green lentils in bowl.
Add Vegetable stock paste.
Add 700g (3 cups) Water .
Add Pearl Barley .
Place steaming basket or splash guard (if using TM6).
Cook 30-40 mins/Varoma/"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1. (until lentils and barley re soft).
Add Lemon juice. Taste to see if requires more salt or lemon.
Accessories you need
If you have a TM6 , Select the "browning onions" from cookidoo to activate the high heat function.
