Tip

You can use cannelloni rolls, but I find it easier with the lasagna sheets.

So I cooked this last night; very nice and made a lot. but I'm not sure how you were able to cram all the 500 G of spinich leaves in one go; I had to do a few rounds of chopping.
I think next time, i'm going to use the frozen Spinich; it's what I used last time and the mixture was a lot easier to work with.
Also, think i'll go back to using the canaloni tubes; i did find working with the Lasagne sheets quite messy but prob due to the runny consistency due to some of the spinich being chopped too fine.

Wow, so glad you said you used the sheets here. I made a recipe requiring the actual canaloni tubes and it was so slow and fiddly.
I'll be trying these this weekend for meal during the week - one of my first meals as a conscious Vegetarian. yay, this was so nice when I tried this last time. tmrc_emoticons.)

Yummmmmmmm - i told my son that it was cheesy zombie pasta and he absolutely devoured it!!! i made it into two seperate dishes and have popped one in the freezer. there was still leftovers from the first dish, so pretty enourmous serving sizes. i also cut back on the baby spinach as 500g seemed heaps. im glad i used less as i dont think 500g would have fit in the machine

  • This recipe didn't seem to

    Submitted by Annikadorey on 24. May 2016 - 09:20.

This recipe didn't seem to work for me. It turned out much too runny, perhaps it was the type of ricotta I used? I followed the recipe to a T so not sure why it didn't work. The flavours were nice though. Also,, the 500g of baby spinach wouldn't fit in my thermomix so I added it in batches. The method should probably state this. For the sauce, it didnt say when to add the onion for chopping so I added it with the garlic and then sauted it before adding the tomatoes and cream. i also agree with the comment below about the cheeee.

I'm confused re cheese. The Parmesan and Tasty cheese - should that go in the spinach and ricotta mixture or is that for the topping, or part topping/part filling? I can see 150g cheese for topping, but not sure if that is in addition (in which case, should it be grated at the beginning) or including first part.

    Loved this!

I used a pack of 8 fresh lasagne sheets and cut each one in half, and the filling made 16 rolls perfectly - one cannelloni for dinner and one for the freezer! It was delicious. Thanks!

Absolutely loved this recipe! So easy to make - and so delicious to eat!

I used cannelloni rolls - put the spinach and ricotta mix in a piping bag and piped it in  tmrc_emoticons.;)

Oh - and I used coconut cream. Yum!

It made enough for tea AND lunch the following day (2 adults and 5 children).

    Very impressed  tmrc_emoticons.)

  • Awesome recipe, thanks.  I

Awesome recipe, thanks.  I used half normal cannelloni tubes and half gluten free cannelloni (in a separate dish).  I put the mixture in a ziploc bag and cut a small hole in the corner so I could squeeze the mixture into the tubes.

I left the cream out of the tomato sauce and it was still fine.  I used 1100g of fresh tomatoes instead of tineed tomatoes.  Next time I would make a bit more sauce (maybe because of the two separate dishes).

Yum! This was delicious. I halved the filling and it still made 7 Cannelloni, so enough for lunch tomorrow.  I forgot to add the cream to the tomato but I didn't miss it.  Thanks for sharing.
