Just made a batch of this jam. I used coconut sugar as that is what I had and it is seriously good! 😋 I have not made jam before and this recipe is easy, quick and sets well.
Thank you

Very sweet yummy jam. Mine wasn't that thick though, pretty perfect consistency actually. Used 130g sugar and still VERY sweet. Boiled over at 105deg but put basket upside down and didn't then boil over. Would definitely make again. Made three small jars.

One question though - any idea how long would this jam last

The amount of sugar is just right if you use Rapadura, but is def to sweet and boils over with raw sugar.
Suggest that the author modify the recipe to be Rapadura only as it is certainly well worth five stars when you use it!

Made this recipe using half the amount of sugar. I also blitzed it for 10secs speed 4 before I cooked it.
It made a difference as I had no spillage and cooked it on 105deg.
Perfect! Thank you.

Yummy thick jam! I only had a mixture of frozen fruit, so used strawberries, raspberries & blueberries. Used 2 x (very) small red apples and half of one green apple. As per other peoples comments I dropped my sugar down to 100g (rapadura) which I found was perfect for the fruit that I used.
Omg so delicious. Thankyou.

Very easy to prepare - this
Very easy to prepare - this was my first attempt at making jam! I was very happy with the result, and couldn't stop licking the spoon & bowl out, it tasted and smelt awsome. It filled up 1.5 jars which were 350ml each. Although I found it a little bit too sweet, next time I will maybe halve the sugar. I followed the recipe exactly and used the Rapadura sugar, as well as the basket on top (not the mc) and it didn't make a mess at all (also no burnt marks etc in the bowl). I used 2 green apples. The jam was super thick at the end - just like from the shops!
Easy Peasy. We used coconut
Easy Peasy. We used coconut sugar and cooked at 100deg (TM31) except for last 6mins on Varoma. No spitting or messy issues with basket in normal position on lid. Great taste and will cook again.
This is absolutely delicious.

Yummy Jam!
Was a bit hesitant to try after reading the comments about bubbling over-but it worked out perfectly!
Only change I made was to drop the temperature to 105 degrees, and I did put the basket on upside down from the beginning. I didn't blend mine either as I thought the consistency was great.
Well received by all in my house.
Thanks.
Yummo. Supper easy. Though

Tastes delish! Had bubbling over issues though, should have read the other comments first! Will try the basket upsidedown next time!
I left the kitchen for 10
I left the kitchen for 10 mins and came back to splattered mess EVERYWHERE. The steaming basket was on top of the lid with MC removed and the quantities were followed exactly. Had to cook at 100 degrees instead as it just kept splattering everywhere. Disappointed. EDC recipe doesnt cause such a mess. Not sure why this recipe is rated so high. Took so long to clean up and lost probably 1/4 of my jam!
love it. what a fantastic
love it. what a fantastic recipe. Used the vanilla bean paste. making chrissie presents if there is any left
Amazing. Made 2 batches
Amazing.
Made 2 batches that were perfection. Easy to make, easy to clean. A couple of days later I made another 2 batches and both bubbled over like crazy and burnt. I used coconut sugar for the first couple, then raw sugar for the others, other than that I can't think of any differences...? Really not keen to make again and risk the mess again! Any suggestions?

Great recipe. I love that it
Great recipe. I love that it uses rapadura and it tastes great. A little too sweet for us though so I'll try a little less sugar next time. It did splatter a little but nothing I couldnt clean up.
I tried this for first time
I tried this for first time in my TM5. I only put it on 115 degrees as it was made for 31. It still bubbled over when it got to 95 degrees. Swapped the MC over for the basket and just kept lifting basket until it settled down. Much more successful than my attempt at the chip recipe.

I had 380gms strawberries and conveniently 120 gms of raspberries left over from the farmers market last weekend, add 2 apples and rapadura sugar and vanilla and voila, I made jam! My first ever time and it's so yummy!! Miss 9 says she will add maple syrup to hers as it isn't sweet enough but I really like it, thanks for a great recipe!
