For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip

Serve on its own or with salad if desired.

I made this without pastry, by adding 50gm of plain flour, an extra egg and a total of 300ml of cream. Even quicker and easier that way!!

Always Looking for Quick Light Meals on a Sunday Night.

I had this saved in my recipes' file for ages but this was the first time I had made it as I had a lot of eggs I wanted to use up.
I followed the recipe to a T and was not disappointed. The pastry was crisp and short and the filling was light and tasty.
    Thanks for a great recipe!

Very tasty. Had some left over sun dried tomatoes that I added & a little bit of grated parmesan on top. I used the very short, short crust pastry (made with yoghurt, butter & flour). Awesome tmrc_emoticons.)

Yum! Made into 4 small individual pies just used a bit less egg and cream mixture. Simple to do tasty and yummy warm or cold. My 1st attempt of pastry in the tmx but it was so easy I will be making it more often. Thanks for the recipe.  Big Smile :

    Submitted by Kirrilly on 14. February 2013 - 02:10.

I don't cover mine with a 2nd batch of pastry, but do try to be creative with any spare pastry cut from lining the pie dish tmrc_emoticons.;)
