For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Remove seeds then put chillies and garlic into bowl and blitz for 4 second speed 7
2. Cook for 15 - 20 min Varoma speed 1 (depends how thick the sauce is desired)
3. Add salt and sugar into the bowl for 10 second speed 3 mix it until it cool down
4. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon of vinegar to your taste.
You might want some extra sugar.
Decant into a clean bottle and store in the fridge.
It will last for several months.
